Happy Mother's Day to all our Mom's!

Please say a special prayer for our donor's Mom today. She is on my mind.

TJ had clinic on Thursday. We went to the new hospital in Larenceville. WOW! It's nice. They've done a great job making things modern and fun for the kids.

The new drive to the hospital is a breeze for us, it's almost a straight shot, 2 turns, that's it.

What we found was all good. *Stop and Smile*

He continues to grow, they measured him at 42 inches tall and 47 pounds?!?! His heart is working and he is thriving. When your heart isn't funcitoning well you don't grow as well or as quickly. So his growth is a good thing.

They said not to worry about his weight, he's a big boy and completely proportionate to his height.

His Bloodwork was pretty good. All the numbers are pretty stable and where they've been. His immuno-suppressent level was spot on where they want it. His potassium level was a little lower, still high, but better than it was. we will continue to watch and limit his potassium foods. We may end up going back to the dietician to help us again. We're wondering if there is a food that has crept into his diet higher in potassium that we're not aware of. Something not on our lists but still something he should be avoiding. So all in all pretty good blood work.

His Echo was Good, in fact according to Dr. Quivers, better than good, it looks great, he has great Cardiac Function. *again Stop and Smile*

We don't go back until mid summer for our next clinic and August is his next Biopsy/Catheterization.

We have an appointment to see a Pre-School on Tuesday. I'm planning on calling 2 others on Monday and scheduling visits next for those as well. So by the end of next week we should have him enrolled in Pre-School for the fall. Amazing.

I'm having a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. I went to a gardening expo yesteday, without TJ. One of the first times I've been out with a girlfriend and no child. It was so nice to just be able to walk being srouunded by things I love, plants, and talking to a good friend. Today I think we're going to go out and pick up a couple of window boxes and plants for our porch. This is our first summer in the house and I'm still a little unsure where I want to put flower beds. So this year I've done some annual seeds and mostly we've been cleaning up the yard and trees. We have a lot of work here.

I've been thinking a lot of TJ's donor's mom. I think about her often and wonder how she is and what she is doing. I don't know anything about them or her. But I hope on  day like today she has someone who is giving her some extra love.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend. If you're a mother, I hope you've been treated extra special, if you're not a mom, I hope you've done something special for your mother. I always say to hug your kids... today I say, Hug Your MOM!

God Bless,
